Vision therapy | Arizona
There are three main categories of vision therapy, all aimed at making sure you develop or improve your vision skills and abilities. To do that, our Arizona team creates a custom-made vision therapy program that can take anywhere from a few sessions to a few months to complete. Orthoptic vision therapy are exercises performed at the office, while perception visual therapy are eye exercises that help improve visual processing information. The third type of vision therapy is helpful in the with nearsightedness.
Unlike self-directed programs, in-office optometric vision therapy is conducted under the supervision of an optometrist and supported by ongoing, evidence-based scientific research.
The goal of optometric is not to strengthen eye muscles because your eye muscles are already strong. Vision problems vision therapy aims to treat are rarely caused by muscle weakness. Instead, our Arizona based vision therapy program aims to retrain the learned aspects of vision through the recently understood concept of vision therapy. In Arizona, we’re proud to be the leading practice that specializes in vision therapy for people of all ages.
Vision therapy treatments in Arizona use therapeutic lenses, prisms, patches, electronic targets, and balance boards, all aimed at correcting vision problems. Generally, vision therapy is conducted in our office in once or twice weekly sessions for about thirty minutes. Occasionally our Accent Eyes team will give homework to our patients too!
Our team works with you to help develop and improve your fundamental vision skills and abilities. We understand that each person is different, and so is each set of eyes. That’s just one of the reasons we’re Arizona’s leading vision therapy practice. We work hard to ensure you can improve your visual comfort and the ease with which you see the world.
